International
Customs duties into your country / destination are solely your responsibility. It is your responsibility to research Customs duties / VAT / GST / HST, courier handling fees (and transportation to your door for air cargo) for your country so you will have an idea of what to expect to pay when your order enters your country.
Generally speaking, you will be charged VAT / GST on the invoiced amount by your local customs authority.
For Customs purposes, our products generally fall under the “Chapter 46” heading in international customs categories.
USA
All Baba Tree Products are duty-free entering the USA
Canada
Canadian customers – if you pay by credit card, HST / GST will be charged because you are paying a Canadian company.
DHL / Ghana Post
Owing to the prohibitive price increases DHL has levied, we are now sending most wholesale orders through Ghana Post
Air Cargo
For larger orders (about 100 baskets and above, we can ship via air cargo to the nearest international airport to your location we might be a cheaper option – and faster – than Ghana Post.
Local transport costs for shipping your order from Bolgatanga to Accra (Kotoka International Airport) will apply in addition to customs fees, agent fees, and the actual cost of international shipping via air cargo. When your shipment arrives at the nearest international airport to you, you will have to clear the shipment through Customs by doing it yourself or hiring a customs broker / clearing agent. Additionally, you will have to hire a transport company / courier to deliver the shipment from the airport to your door.
This Is How We Wholesale (for approved wholesale customers)
– You submit your wish-list by placing your order using this website. (We will let you know if anything is out of stock)
OPTION A – We Pick
– Let us pick and choose your baskets for you. We are well versed in this art of course.
OPTION B – You Pick
– Once we receive your wish-list order, The Baba Tree Crew will assess your wish list and photograph the baskets currently available in stock in the preferred styles and sizes that you chose from the drop-down menu on our wholesale website.
– We will do our very best to communicate with you exactly when we will be emailing photographs so that you can be best prepared on your end. If you can’t make the time, please tell us and we will serve the next customer.
– From the photographs, please choose your baskets with a cross, check, circle, or some kind of identifying mark.
– Please respond with your choice.
NOTES
– If we are out of stock of a particular style / size, we can make baskets to order.
– We accept bespoke colourways – using The Baba Tree’s colour palette only.
Please note: If you don’t want leather on the handles of your baskets, that is your decision. The Baba Tree can’t, and won’t, assume responsibility for handles unravelling or breaking. The leather keeps the handles together and makes them much stronger.
Sorry to hear you received damaged or faulty items, on receipt of the order you have 7 working days to check over your stock and notify us of your findings. Any claims outside of the 7 working days may be subject to a partial refund or credit note. Anything outside of 6 months will be marked as general wear and tear and will be assessed at the manager’s discretion. There is no need to send damaged stock back to us. Sell them at a reduced price, gift yourself, or pass the damaged basket (hopefully not too damaged) along to a friend.
